Staying Active
Staying active is an important part of your overall health and wellbeing for kidney patients and caregivers alike. But we know living with kidney disease can be challenging and exhausting. Trying to stay active may seem a bit overwhelming at first. But you are not alone. You can start slowly and build up over time. For those with long-term kidney conditions or on dialysis, it can be hard sometimes to keep a regular exercise routine but remember every bit of movement counts including tidying your home, gardening or taking a short walk.
Staying active can have many health benefits, including giving you more energy and making you feel better overall. You can read more about that and some important health and safety tips in our Tips and Tools for Staying Active section below. Plus, don’t miss what our fitness experts have to say in Ask the Expert.
