Eating Well

Eating well, as we know, is an important part of our overall health and wellbeing. But making good food choices, let alone kidney-friendly food choices, is not always easy. Sometimes we need a little help or inspiration in the kitchen.

While there is no standard “kidney diet”, there are common food or fluid restrictions as your kidney disease progresses. The Kidney Wellness Hub is a great place to learn more about kidney-friendly nutritional options wherever you are on your kidney journey. Be sure to check out the Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Community Kitchen below. Here you will find meal planners, cooking demos, kidney-friendly recipes and so much more. Plus in our Ask the Expert section below, registered dietitian, Dani Renouf, shares how to eat well at any stage of kidney disease.

Be sure to watch for opportunities to test your cooking skills at one of our upcoming virtual kidney Cooking Classes. We will be creating and adding new content all the time, and as always, we welcome your ideas and input.
