Get to Know Your Staying Active Expert

  • As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Ryley Carr is a health and exercise professional who is trained to work with clients with chronic diseases and comorbidities where exercise training has been shown to be of therapeutic benefit. Ryley utilizes scientific rationale for exercise prescription, physical activity counselling, exercise supervision, and health education/promotion to assist her clients in the recovery from illness and prevent or manage chronic disease. Ryley has been in the field for over 6 years and is ultimately passionate about helping individuals use exercise as medicine.

    Her certifications include:

    American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist
    Bachelor of Science - Major in Kinesiology with a focus in Active Rehabilitation and a Minor in Gerontology
    American Council on Exercise - Orthopaedic Exercise Specialist
    American Council on Exercise - Fitness Nutrition Specialist
    First Aid & CPR Training Certification
