Low-Sodium BBQ Sauce

Save some money on your food budget and avoid waste by making this quick and healthy barbecue sauce in the amount you need for your family.
Ingredients:
8 oz no salt added tomato sauce
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
4 tbsp brown sugar (packed)
2 ½ tbsp sugar
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground mustard
1 ½ tsp lemon juice
1 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup water
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk until well blended.
Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, whisking occasionally.
Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for approximately 1 hour, stirring periodically to prevent sticking.
Continue cooking until the sauce has reduced by half to about 1 ½ cups and reaches your desired consistency.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using or storing.
