Introduction to Walking to Wellness Personalized Plan with Exercise Snacks

Saturdays, Noon - 1pm PST

Join us online to discover a supportive community and a personalized plan designed to seamlessly integrate a consistent walking routine into your daily life. During these Saturday sessions explore the concept of "Exercise Snacks" and their role in establishing a regular movement habit. Uncover the benefits of incorporating short movement sessions after each meal, with less sedentary blocks of time. You’ll exceed the recommended Canadian standards with less than 8 minutes per meal.

The initial part of the session will be in a group style where you will learn more about the importance of regular movement breaks, and the plan itself. Plus there will be a Q&A period for any general questions to be addressed.

For part two, you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Kinesiology student to receive your personalized plan to get you safely building more regular movement into your day and working towards the recommended daily standards. You can remain on the call to chat with your Walking to Wellness Buddies to share challenges and successes until your turn or book your appointment for another time that is convenient for you.

Everyone can reap the benefits of these “Exercise Snacks” whether starting with limited mobility, minimal movement or already moving a fair bit. Join these sessions and let’s elevate our wellness journey together!

If you can’t make Saturdays work for you email us at kidneywellnesshub@kidney.ca and we’ll see if we can’t get you set up with a time that will work for you.
